I am not sure where to start with this book. I have never met two characters that were so stubborn and so irritating as Travis and Abby. Even with all of their flaws I could not love these two more. The book is all about the relationship these two have or don't have depending on the moment. Abby is a good girl who is trying to get away from her past and start over. Travis is this insanely intense, bad boy, tattooed man-whore that you can't help but fall for. These two have this crazy, instant, intense chemistry. When I say intense, I mean intense! Travis can't stand when guys even look at Abby which does not go well with his temper. He is very short-tempered and acts like he owns Abby which I did find a bit scary at times. These two are very dependent on each other and don't do well when they are apart. Having said all of that I couldn't help but love this book and I couldn't put it down. One of my favorite things about this book is how flawed Travis and Abby are. I have to commend Jamie for writing characters that are real, flawed and raw. Not everyone is perfect and that was refreshing to read. This book is not for young readers. It is very intense and depicts a very co-dependent side of relationships. Abby and Travis are damaged and as a result they have a very dysfunctional relationship with each other. Even though their relationship doesn't seem to be very healthy it works for them. They are definitely right for each other and can't seem to live without one another.I have to talk about the chemistry between Abby and Travis for a minute. Holy moly the chemistry is something else. Not only do they become friends pretty instantly but there relationship develops pretty quickly. Abby is different from all of Travis' other girls. She isn't just some girl he wants to screw and kick out of his apartment when they are done. This book is definitely New Adult. There are some very steamy moments.Get ready for a crazy, emotional roller coaster ride. There are twists and turns that you won't seem coming and moments that leave your heart racing. There is never a dull moment with these characters. Abby and Travis are put through the ringer in this book and it makes for some very emotional moments. I have never read a book with a more appropriate title. Absolutely a Beautiful Disaster! Now it is time to get into Travis' head and read Walking Disaster. I can't wait to see things from his point of view and what is really going on in that head of his. Look for that review on the blog soon.
